What is an Inn to Inn ride?

     Inn to Inn rides are rare in North America, reminiscent of the adventure travels of old. Imagine the journey to each new destination, exploring miles of mountain trails and untamed scenery best discovered from horseback.

     It’s a truly unique way to roam the Canadian countryside, meet the locals and have a one of a kind vacation experience. Horses bring goodwill with every interaction, allowing you into a life far removed from cities and urban distractions.

     A new business partner will be coming on board for 2013. The old Friesian Ranch, 300 acres of exceptional equestrian facility, will join in as part of the Inn to Inn ride experience. The new owners will be taking the coming season to renovate and upgrade, preparing to welcome future guests to a property known for it’s exceptional beauty.

What about the Lodge Rides?

     For guests who prefer not to pack up and move on, we recommend the lodge rides; settle in and enjoy the popular hospitality of the Jellicoe Station Inn, a wilderness mansion with breathtaking views and serenity galore. If you love great service, superb food and feeling like you’ve been welcomed home, the lodge ride is an excellent choice. What can you expect from the riding?

     These holidays have been developed with horse lovers in mind. The trails are varied, mountainous, occasionally challenging, and always fun. There are opportunities to trot and canter, as well as time to quietly enjoy a slower pace to reflect, relax, drink in the scenery or just enjoy those free flowing conversations that seem to arise on horseback.

 

And then…

     At the end of full days of riding, you’ll overnight at the Jellicoe Station and other rural Inns. Luggage will be delivered and you’ll find hot showers, clean rooms, plentiful meals, and to work out the tired riding muscles, hot tubs and sauna to relax in. To complete the pampering, a professional masseuse may be pre-arranged for any evening.

     The areas you’ll be riding in each day are quite isolated. Partnering with local B&B’s means benefiting from their warm country hospitality. They’ve been screened for excellence in comfort, cleanliness and culinary skills. Your hosts are very pleased to be part of the Inn to Inn rides and are an important part of the entire experience.

     For extra indulgence, a multi-course Wine Taster’s Dinner hosted at the Jellicoe Station Inn may be arranged.  A minimum of four people is needed.
